Past potentials
Ok well thought it was time to talk a little bit about ideas that have already been disregarded.
Originally we wanted the ceremony at Chester Zoo and even met with their wedding coordinater it was a great day. They offer so much and it really would have been my absolute perfect day however unless we win the lottery it aint gonna happen. I think it was munch's idea to do it in anglesey and its a fantastic idea almost as good as the zoo if not better. The original guest list consisted of at least 25o people clearly that had to be brutally cut and cut again and a further few times to the now intimate 65. Another idea which has gone out the window was bridesmaids, I of course have always wanted my two gorgeous nieces and my goddaughter and we already asked Adeles cousin but munch was having a real problem in that they didnt have a job...ie with this not being a traditional wedding there was no maiding needing to be done so it seemed pointless. I was a bit dissapointed at first but could totally see her point. Now as we have such a tight budget I'm really glad we cut them.

Hoban's brilliant idea
instead of a car taking us away from the ceremony we can have a boat decorated with 'just married' to sail us away down Menai Straits. Wonder if he's gonna pay?!

To BBQ or not to BBQ
I really wanted the reception in Moelfre my childhood 2nd home and a reminder of carefree days. The place we have chosen is the oak lodge inn it looks like a gorgeous little place and they will do a BBQ in a marquee which is what we both really want but per head it works out to about a grand which seems a little excessive so now we are in turmoil as to what to do. To just hire the venue is only £250 but how do we cater for ourselves in bloody wales...Answers on a postcard please.
Herbie rides again?
Really stuggling to find any kind of wedding car service on anglesey found a couple of websites with cars similar to what we would like but no idea on prices or anything. Anyway we are now not certain of where to hold the reception so i guess i couldnt tell them the journey time anyway. The thing is i think a car could be a huge expense we could do without and ideally we would need space for 5 of us which is a mare, but its a lovely drive down to plas newydd and with all the guests waiting we need to arrive in style! Don't we???
Hey Mr DJ put a record on I wanna dance with my baby.
Found a really cool DJ but its £325 so i'm thinking perhaps not
Yummy
One of the ways we have decided to save money is by making our own cake. What we really like are those cakes that have a big cake on the top to cut but loads of little individual ones. They are very popular at the moment and we found one at the fayre for the bargain price of £450 however as we are cutting costs this is not really an option now. We think we will have a fruit one, choccy one and carrot one and are going to start practising making them as soon as we have stopped dieting and we can eat them. Neither of us has ever made a cake before apart from the diabetic fruit loaf i make for my dad. So it’s a risk!

Sacrifices
I decided to ask one of my collegues and friends to be our photographer he is very good and of course i knew he would be a little cheaper than most with mates rates and all. However after the wedding fayre we have found an amazing photographer that we simply have to have. It is however way over budget but we think worth every penny so therefore we are thinking of ways to cut back on everything else.
