A cake made of cheese!
Today we have found what is probably the best idea yet!
We went to our fave deli at Trentham Gardens and discovered they make wedding cakes with rounds of cheese. We both totally love this idea and as we are having loads of muffins and cupcakes we our baking ourselves, a cheesecake would be really cool. I've an idea of what sort of cheese to use and we would buy the cheese wholesale so it hopefully wont be that expensive. The ones I have found on the net at Cheese Shed and House of cheese will be approx £200, I'm pretty sure we can do it cheaper ourselves.

Posh Frocks
The big debate about whether or not to spend on chair covers continues. Neither of us were sure but I think we are both coming around to the idea. Its a big expense but I really think we have to do it, nasty old red velvet seats will simply not cut it. We have found a company at a wedding show at the weekend that do stretch covers that can literally be thrown in a box and then stretched over the chairs so much easier than worrying about usual ones you get that would have to be ironed after the long journey. This would cost about £225 a rather large chunk of the budget I know. I have been browsing ebay to see if there is anything wedding related to buy but there was nothing
interesting. Although I did see some chair covers for hire at £1 each not stretch ones though.
In related news I posted the STDs today for bargain price of £11 hurrah.

Curiouser and curiouser said alice
Been thinking about the Alice dress all day. I'm wondering about the original dress we wanted for Kacey white with net skirt. It could just have a blue sash so its more of a 'take on' rather than in your face...Hmmm. That one is sixty quid though!
love this
Found a lovely little disney alice dress for Kacey. Its a little darker blue than we would have liked but colours are always a bit darker in pics so it may be ok. I know we were going to make one but this is only £25. I cant see us buying material and having one made for that price. I also like the satin material as it will be different to the material in all the other outfits and as we are mixing things up it might be quite nice...I bet munch hates this dress i think its too obvious for her! (look at the price tag munch!)
I'd rather spend time than money
Yes our tag line to this wedding is still ringing true. Yesterday we went to Dagfields the nearby antiques and craft centre. Where we found all the miss-matched plates and glassware to make the cake stands. How exciting they will be very fitting within our theme. We got the lot for under £30 we would never have been able to purchase as many new ones as we can now make, for that price.
Ready and labelled
We have finally done it! Just as the tension had begun to creep in cos the save the dates were becoming difficult (address labels and such). They are all done signed and sealed with munches fabulous key rings and magnets enclosed. Tomorrow I will be off to the post office to see how much they will all cost and then they will be on their way. Whoop Whoop phase one complete!
