Ready and labelled

We have finally done it! Just as the tension had begun to creep in cos the save the dates were becoming difficult (address labels and such). They are all done signed and sealed with munches fabulous key rings and magnets enclosed. Tomorrow I will be off to the post office to see how much they will all cost and then they will be on their way. Whoop Whoop phase one complete!

Fabric program cover

this pic has made me reconsider the fabric program. This is similar to how i was going to do it. I was thinking a plain fabric, cotton or felt with a ribbon in the wedding colours. But the chairs in this pic are really neutral so it works where as ours i think are that typical red style and I'm not sure that we'll be able to afford chair covers. In either case their would be nothing to hang them on with our style of chair. It doesn't really make sense to have this style of pocket and just place them on the chair.
Maybe this would be a better idea

there isnt a tutorial but it seems pretty easy to do. Musnt forget that Plas Newydd will only allow real petal confetti.

Save the date ( a very important date!)

We now have our key rings and magnets ready to send out our save the dates, We just have to design them! I've put together a letter about the accommodation to accompany the letter for the important guests and tonight I'm going to draft a letter for the others.
We had a nightmare the other day when munch rang Ann-Marie to book the accommodation she mentioned it was half term she was already partly booked and Anglesey would be over-run by families. We were gutted at the thought of not staying at Cerrig Y Barrcud so the only solution was to change the date! Simple you might say, but munch then had to contact Plas and the photographer to see if they could change!
Luckily it was all fine, So the date is now changed to the weekend of mums birthday...I think it was all to do with her so she better make it it nice weather!

Guest Book

In line with the hand crafted element of the wedding, I'd really like to make my own guest book. I've been thinking up loads of ideas to decorate blank chipboard books or another idea could be to have a ring binder style album and inside have plastic sheets that hold cards - like a trading card holder and each of the guests can write on trading cards with have been pre-decorated by yours truly.

Flower Stationery

From Martha (as usual!)

Your personal correspondence will bloom like spring flowers when you make a garden's worth of these note cards. Convert store-bought cards into this pop-up flower stationery, or create your own from lovely patterned papers. Before you send off your spring wishes, adorn each envelope with a matching flower seal.
Note How-To:

To make note cards, use spray mount to affix two different patterned papers of the same size back to back; allow to set, then crease paper in half. Photocopy the flower template, enlarging or shrinking it to a desired size; cut out the shape. Unfold your homemade card or store-bought card and place the template over the middle of the crease; trace half the flower in pencil on one half of the card, abutting the fold.

On a cutting mat, use a utility knife to cut out the half-flower. For the flower seals, shrink the template, then cut out the shape. Trace the flower onto paper and cut out; use a glue stick to adhere to envelopes.

Keepsake Pockets

I've become obsessed with fabric pockets and what they will contain. At the moment I see them embroidered with the words 'A celebration of love' which I think we have decided will be on the save the dates or invites. In them I see lots of things that we have found that mean something to us and are fun for the guests to keep and read. They are:- The letter to the Bride, the words to flaws and all which I think we are having at some point during the ceremony, The 10 Important Things letter that I have found , Martha's piece on the meaning of buttons and of course the personality tree piece I think this will change and grow between now and the CP but I love the idea of the guest having a keepsake of our thoughts and our reasons for having the ceremony.

Letter to the Bride

Dearest Bride-to-Be:

The 12-18 months of wedding planning will pass in a matter of hours or days. When it’s all said and done, the photos will be the primary artifact remaining.

My wish for you—when you look back at those photos—is for you to think:

Look at how relaxed I was.

Fully present in the moment.

Basking in it. Soaking it in.

I was not saturated in stress.

My shoes and dress were comfortable enough for dancing. My beauty radiated out of me; it was not applied to me.

I got to spend quality time with my friends and family. I was myself, not a show. In fact, I was my fullest expression of self.

I do not remember whether the invitations were letterpress or whether the flowers at the ceremony were the same ones at the reception.

The wedding favors or the fanciness of the food did not make memories. The sincerity did. The connection did. The time together did.

It did not matter whether every last detail conformed to the signature colors. Instead of saying, “What a beautiful bouquet,” the guests said, “What a beautiful love.”

This is my wish to you, dear brides, as you pore over wedding magazines and read daily blogs. Some of it matters. Most of it does not. Casting your net in the wrong direction will most surely mean you miss the things you most dearly want to catch.

May your wedding be just one sincere, authentic, happiest day in a long line of many.

I'd rather spend time than money!

This is munchs motto of the day and I love it.
We finally have our samples of invites and save the dates from the lovely ladies we met at the fayre, they are gorgeous but I think munch really wants to do them herself and frankly I think thats a great idea most things we want to do ourselves so why not this too, a really personal affair. This way we can totally stay true to our theme...once we can decide on what that is!
